The RIS3Thessaly e-Hub For New Researchers is now available, creating a digital information, skills development and networking point for the new research community of Thessaly.
e-Hub is aimed at young researchers and female researchers, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and members of research teams who wish to enhance their knowledge, highlight their research work and explore new opportunities for collaboration and exploitation of their research. At the same time, it serves as a point of connection between the research community and companies, institutions and organizations of the innovation ecosystem of Thessaly.
At the heart of the e-Hub is RIS3 Thessaly Research to Impact Academy, an online, asynchronous learning path that connects scientific knowledge with innovation, market needs, and the priorities of RIS3 Thessaly. Through 5 courses and 30 short learning modules, with a total duration of approximately 7 hours, participants become familiar with the RIS3 strategy and the priorities of the Region, knowledge transfer and the utilization of research results, research and market collaboration, identifying partners and stakeholders, as well as funding opportunities and the formulation of mature project concepts. The training is conducted in Greek and upon completion, a certificate of attendance is provided.
Another basic function is the Opportunities Table, RIS3 Thessaly provides a single point for gathering selected and timely opportunities for research, innovation and collaboration. European and national calls, research and funding programs, scholarships and positions, mentoring and training activities, events and collaboration opportunities are presented in a single place, facilitating the access of the research community to useful information. The listings are linked to the priority areas of RIS3 Thessaly, are checked before publication and, where available, refer to the official source of each call or action.
At the same time, universities, research groups, businesses, public bodies and innovation organizations have the opportunity to submit relevant opportunities for evaluation and publication.
Through the e-Hub, young researchers can also create their own Research profile, By presenting their research subject, skills and expertise, their research interests, potential applications of their work, and the types of collaboration they are seeking, the research potential of Thessaly becomes more visible and accessible to businesses, research institutions, and organizations seeking knowledge, expertise, or new collaborations. At the same time, the profiles contribute to mapping and highlighting the new research community of the Region.
With the above functions, the RIS3Thessaly e-Hub It aims to cover different stages of a new researcher’s journey: from acquiring knowledge and being informed about available opportunities to showcasing their expertise and connecting them with the broader research and innovation ecosystem. The e-Hub is available through the RIS3Thessaly website, giving the new research community of Thessaly a common digital space to learn, present, connect, and collaborate.
